Best places in Asia for solo travelers

    By Bailey N. | Moving destinations | 0 comment | 5 March, 2023 | 0

After you relocate to a completely new place, your first instinct will be to explore it. And that is in human nature. To wander around unfamiliar surroundings and explore all the areas nearby. Choosing to relocate to Asia will surely have some challenges of moving in general. And after you have done a fantastic job, it is time to give yourself a break. There are plenty of places in Asia for solo travelers. They are all safe and full of both natural and man-made wonders you must see at least once in your life. We prepared the best ones for you, but you can add more to that list. Ask locals where you should go; they will tell you about lesser-known tourist places for a better experience. Let the adventure begin.

Hong Kong is one of the best places in Asia for solo travelers

It doesn’t matter where is your starting point, Hong Kong should be the first place you visit. After useful help from a moving company such as relosmart.asia, it is time to begin your adventure. Take some time off from everything, and explore. Hong Kong is one of the important cities in China. It is not the first one where tourists would go, which makes it even better. There are so many things to explore and do here. For sure, you won’t be bored or disappointed. Besides attractions such as Hong Kong Disneyland and Ocean Park, you can enjoy many other things. One of the must-sees is Tian Than Buddha. This is a landmark hilltop statue of Buddha, and just the path to get there is exciting already as it is.

After that small hike, you can always go down and walk around Victoria Harbour. While you are there, make sure you go to Sky 100 Observation Deck to take some interesting photos. Not far from there, you will find Chi Lin Nunnery gardens, where you can have a rest on the meadow with your favorite book. Before night falls, go to the Mongkok neighborhood. The architecture will be interesting, with too many colors to capture. Completely opposite of that, you have a luxurious neighborhood and a modern one, Tsim Sha Tsui. No matter what you explore in Hong Kong, it will be interesting. But after such a long day of walking, you should find some dining places such as Ando or Tin Lung Heen.

It would be crazy not to visit Bali

One of the popular countries in Asia is Indonesia. Plenty of tourists go here every year, especially to Bali. It is described as heaven on Earth, and without a doubt, you will feel like that. Here, you won’t be able to see that skyline as you did in Hong Kong. And architecture is not one of the attractions. Instead, nature is dominating, which is the best thing. You should first see an ancient Hindu temple with ocean vistas called Uluwatu Temple. Just the cliffs and waves will take your breath away. Something similar to that is Tanah Lot. It isn’t on a cliff like the previous one but on an island. There are plenty of other charming places in Bali, and you need to see them all.

If you would rather do more touristy things and see those popular attractions, a temple complex with many monkeys should be on your list. It is a sacred forest monkey sanctuary, and people love spending their days here. But be careful; monkeys are not always friendly. Another one of your stops should be Tegallalang Rice Terrace. There are famous hillside rice paddies and one of the favorite attractions – zip lines in the wilderness. No matter where you go in Bali, you will love it. Rent a Vespa, and don’t plan your days while you are here. It will be more interesting.

Among other places in Asia that are great when traveling alone is Kyoto

Kyoto is one of the best destinations, not only in Japan but in entire Asia. Japan, in general, is amazing, and there is something for everyone. If you love skylines and big cities, you can have that. If you prefer natural wonders, there is that as well. Kyoto is something in between. There is amazing Japanese architecture you can enjoy. But there is also a Bamboo forest you must walk around.

First, we recommend you visit the Shinto shrine with framed gates. And that is Fushimi Inari Taisha. One of the most popular attractions in the world. Another temple that will take your breath away is Kinkaku-ji. And if you prefer something with a view, Kiyomizu-Dera is the right choice. All temples in Kyoto are worth visiting, so you won’t be wrong about any. The best period to go here is in late March or early April since that is Cherry-Blossom time.

The next stop should be Seoul

Seol is among the underrated cities in Asia. Even though it is not that popular, this place has much to offer. It is a place where high-tech subways, modern skylines, and pop culture meet the fresh food street markets, Buddhist temples, and palaces. Make sure you plan your finances for Seoul because there is much to see and visit. From Bukchon Hanok Village, over 600 years old, to Cheonggyecheon – an urban park space.

Finally, among places in Asia for solo travelers is Kuala Lumpur

Famous for Petronas Towers, Kuala Lumpur is one of the top places for honeymoons and traveling in general. Menara Kuala Lumpur is a great place to start your sightseeing. Not far from there, you have Merdeka Square, where you can sunbathe for a moment. KL Bird Park and KLCC Park are great places to spend the afternoon when the sun is too strong for anything else. Just make sure you rest enough to experience Kuala Lumpur at night because it is better than during the day.

    There is so much more

Asia is a huge continent with many attractions. No matter what you are interested in, here you will find it. Make sure you adapt this list of best places in Asia for solo travelers based on your likings and preferences. As a solo traveler, you are doing this for yourself by doing only things you enjoy.
