Illinois locations to consider if you plan to move there this year

    By Bailey N. | Moving destinations | 0 comment | 30 March, 2021 | 0

Illinois is a great state to live in and hence why a lot of people move to Illinois. There are plenty of amazing towns, both big and small, where moving to would be a great idea. Illinois is a perfect state for anyone. Elderly people move here because it is a very safe place to live in. There are plenty of towns where the elderly can get some rest after they retire. The air quality in Illinois is good as well which is great for people who have respiratory issues. Young professionals are moving to Illinois as well because of the job opportunities that are available here. Plenty of companies have started opening in Illinois, both new and already existing ones. Illinois is a state with a lot of great universities and colleges as well which is why there are plenty of students moving here. There is something for everyone. But if you are not from Illinois, you might not know what are some of the Illinois locations to consider moving to this year.

There are plenty of them but we picked out a couple of the best ones. And we will also tell you just why moving o these places would be a good idea. So, if planning on relocating but are still unsure of where to move to, this is the perfect article for you. Here is where you can read everything you need to know in order to decide where to move to. Reading a guide to Illinois would be helpful as well.

    River house.
There are plenty of places to move to in Illinois but these two are the absolute best.

    Elmwood Park

Let us begin by telling you more about Elmwood Park. This is a very lovely small village where moving to is a great idea for plenty of reasons. It is located in Cook County which is a county located very close to Chicago. Just a couple of hours of driving and you will find yourself in Chicago’s downtown. This is why plenty of families are moving to Elmwood. If moving to the Midwest from California, this is the perfect place for you.

It is located close to everything you need and it is also a village with everything you need. There are plenty of parks in the town which is perfect for people with small children and dogs. You will have where to walk your dog or spend some quality time outside. The parks have been renovated and there are plenty of playgrounds for children. Great schools are to be found in the town as well which is another reason why a family should move here. Moving easily with a family is possible with golansmoving.com.

    Housing prices

Housing prices are what most people are interested in finding out more about since it is one of the most important pieces of information. For starters, Elmwood Park is a place where most people are renting homes. Since there are plenty of young people in the city, finding a home to rent is not such an easy of a task. But new buildings and homes are being built. If you decide to rent, the average rent price in Elmwood Park is around $1,500. This isn’t a lot of money to pay monthly for a home. Especially when you consider the fact that the homes here are great. Buying a home, on the other hand, is going to be a bigger expense. The average home price for a home in Elmwood Park is around $380,000.

A lot of people decide to rent a home and then buy one after they are certain that moving to this city is a good idea. If doing the same, you need to find people who know the area in order to move from one home to another successfully.

    Morton Grove

The second town on our list of Illinois locations to consider moving to this year would be Morton Grove. This is an amazing place to move to for dozens of reasons and we are here to tell you just some of them. Located on the north of Chicago, Morton Grove is another town in Cook County. It is almost the same size as Elmwood Park and the housing prices are very similar. This is because these two towns are very similar to each other. From both of them, it takes you the same amount of time to reach Downtown Chicago. Moving to Morton Grove is a great idea because this is a very safe town to live in. Towns around Chicago and Chicago itself are known for being not too great places when it comes to safety. But that is not the case here. This is one of the safest towns in the area.

    Elderly couple.
There are plenty of elderly people moving to this place since it is very safe.

There are plenty of elderly living in Morton Grove as it is a very safe place to live in. And if moving to Morton Grove as a retiree but renting a home first, assistance is just around the corner when you decide to move away from that home and buy one.  Morton Grove has everything you need, not just amazing moving assistance. There are plenty of local and big-name shops in the town. This means that you will be able to purchase everything you need just around the corner since Morton Grove is not such a big town. There are plenty of restaurants and bars here as well which is why young people relocate here also.

    Other Illinois locations to consider

In our opinion, these two places are the two best Illinois locations to consider moving to. Moving within a week to any of the places is possible by hiring a moving company. But if neither of the two float your boat, here is a couple of more places to consider:

    • Evanston
    • Naperville
    • Buffalo Grove
    • Springfield.
