    • Naples Island
    • Shoreline Village

These are our top picks, it’s up to you to choose yours. So let’s take a look at our suggestions.

    Aquarium of the Pacific

This is the largest aquarium in the world and is the largest aquarium of any kind in the United States. It is located in Long Beach and is a great place to see many different kinds of animals and learn about them. There is a huge variety of different kinds of fish, from tropical fish to deep sea fish, and you can even see sharks and rays. There is also a large variety of plants and sea life. It’s a great place to spend a day and learn about the ocean and the animals that live in it.

    Catalina Island

Catalina Island is a small island located off the coast of Long Beach. It is a beautiful place to visit and is home to spectacular scenery! Some even call it a ”picture-perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the mainland”. The idyllic isle is home to spectacular scenery and the trip to get there is just as enjoyable. And the best part about it is that you can hop on Catalina Expres, a scenic ferry ride, where you can truly enjoy the ocean while traveling to Catalina Island.

    Earl Burns Miller Japanese garden

The Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden is a Japanese garden located in Long Beach. It was designed and inspired by the extensive Imperial Gardens in Tokyo, and was completed in 1981. There is a beautiful view of the ocean from the garden and the garden is also very peaceful and relaxing. You can also enjoy charming koi ponds and a traditional tea house, as well as the Japanese restaurant located inside the garden. You can also attend one of the numerous annual events such as a koi auction, chrysanthemum show, and ikebana workshops. The garden is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. The only thing you need to bring with you is your appetite and curiosity!

    Naples Island

Naples Island is a small island located in the Pacific Ocean. It is located approximately 30 miles south of Long Beach and is a great place to visit! The island truly is Italy in miniature. It’s not just named after Naples in Italy, but the majority of the streets bear Italian names. The best part about it is that you can hop on peaceful gondola rides along the canals or rent kayaks and paddle about the waterways. It’s like being in Italy, but minus the plane tickets. What more could one want? Except for maybe an extra slice of pizza Neapolitan. If you are lucky, you can even see dolphins swimming in the ocean!
