Should you leave California in 2020?

    By Bailey N. | Moving companies in Beverly hills | 0 comment | 2 November, 2020 | 0

This has been a crazy year, to say the least. And a lot of people have been moving from one state to another. There are plenty of reasons. Some moved for health reasons, some moved for a better-paying job, some because they needed a bigger home with a backyard so they can handle quarantine better. The reasons are different and they are all valid. But we have noticed that not a lot of people were moving to California this year. In fact, a lot of people moved away from California to other states. California is a great state to live in but it surely isn’t the best. And you are certainly here because you think the same. You are probably wondering whether you should leave California in 2020 or stay and wait for things to get better. We are here to tell you what we think about this.

    California is very expensive

One of the reasons why people leave California is the fact that this is a very expensive state to live in. And this goes for everything. Real estate, healthcare, school, as well as any other things you would spend money on normally. This is because California is an exclusive state. This means that there are a lot of bourgeoises cities and a lot of rich people. This makes the standard higher hence why everything costs more. This makes life for people who don’t earn hundreds of thousands of dollars a bit difficult.

    Money.
    Everything in California is expensive

Finding a better paying job in California sounds easy. And it can be easy if you have plenty of work experience and knowledge. But not everyone can say that they do. In fact, most people can’t. This makes finding a better paying job a lot harder. Which makes earning more money than you already do less possible. And it is what usually makes people leave California. At least it did in 2020 as a lot of people sadly lost their jobs as well as any source of income due to the pandemic. And if you did too, moving away from California to a more affordable state is the right thing to do. It is going to take a lot of time for everything to get back to the way it was after this.

The pandemic isn’t the only threat you have when you are living in California

California is known for the hot days and the sunny weather. And as much as that is nice, sometimes you aren’t able to enjoy this. This year it’s because of the coronavirus pandemic. Going outside is almost forbidden. That means that enjoying the beach is less likely possible. But in the earlier years, there was no pandemic to stop you from enjoying the nice weather. But there were wild forest fires that occur almost every year in California. This makes enjoying the warm weather impossible. You can’t leave the house and if you do, the air is very polluted and bad. This makes life in California unsafe.

This is exactly why a lot of people leave California. Both old and young people. These are very serious things to have to deal with and a lot of people don’t want to. This can lead to losing your house and everything you own if your house accidentally catches on fire from the forest fire. And this surely is a stressful thing to have to go through. If you want to avoid it, leave California in 2020 for sure because global warming is becoming worse every year and every year is warmer than the previous one. This means that the forest fires are only going to get more common as well as bigger.

Forest fires will only become more constant.

It just isn’t as nice as everyone thinks it is

California is great but some say that it is overrated. We disagree with that statement but that doesn’t mean that it is entirely not true. California is amazing but it just isn’t picture perfect. No place on Earth is. There is always going to be at least one bad thing about a certain place. California has dozens of cons but it has pros as well. But some of the cons are also:

    • a lot of bugs
    • plenty of tourists
    • unsafe cities
    • plenty of bad influence on children
    • polluted air.

    Should you leave California?

If you ask us, leaving California in 2020 is a great idea. There are plenty of other states where living is going to be amazing even though it isn’t living in California. States such as Florida, North Carolina, Washington, Texas, and Arizona are some of the most popular moving destinations for people from California.

    Moving away from California

If you decided that you will be leaving California and moving to another state, you need to do it the right way. All of it. From deciding which state to move to, to choosing which moving companies should you consider hiring and where to purchase packing supplies. All of it has to be done the right way. And that is why we have prepared certain tips for you.

    Hire reliable movers

No matter where you are moving to, if you are moving, you need to have some professional assistance. Especially when moving to another state. Moving with a reliable moving company that you can find on verifiedmovers.com is the best way to go! Hiring just any movers is a bad idea. We are talking about somebody handling all your belongings for hours.

    Declutter before you move

If you want to save some money while moving as well as make the moving, packing, and unpacking process a lot easier, you need to declutter your home. Get rid of everything that you don’t need before moving. Especially if moving from LA to a colder climate. You won’t need all those sandals and shorts for sure!
